Background
Started in 1995 as a simple experiment with HTML, this website has evolved these several goals:
Family resource
To allow access to family photos, and to broadcast live video
and weather information to interested parties, but primarily
for my family in Philadelphia.
Family photos tend to deteriorate with time, digital images should last forever.
Pooling and Sharing resources and interests
Especially the Night Sky in Del Mar, The Tide Charts, the Weather Station on my balcony,
shared access to my personal TeleMagic
contact database and activity schedule, useful links, etc.
Do Good Now
100% of the profits of my website are given to these charities.
Immortality
With any luck, this website will be around a lot longer than I will!
Hobby
It's something to do to keep me off the streets and out of trouble...

The system time, used to display the time of day on the Webcam images, is based on the Cesium Clock at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in Boulder, Colorado, and is updated daily using the Colorado Cesium Clock software.

as simple as possible as the compromise for a focus on content.
